The Cass River Greenway Committee is active 12 months a year! Join us for our meetings, cleanup days, or other events taking place in the Watershed and on our beautiful river! Visit often to see new events.

August 18 10th Annual Cass River Cleanup-Cass City
The Village of Cass City and the Cass River Greenway will be hosting the 10th annual Cass River Cleanup. The clean up crew will gather at Kappan Tree Service, 2799 Hurds Corner Road, Cass City between 8:00 and 8:30 am, with the clean up starting at 9:00 am. A snack breakfast will be provided to all volunteers. The crew will clean approximately 4 miles of river, upstream of the Kappan location. We will be done with the river clean up by noon. Volunteers need to wear old clothing, hats, and old shoes, boots, waders or hip boots. Sunscreen and insect repellant is recommended. If you have a life vest you are encouraged to bring it, as we will be using canoes. |

Join Tom Lounsbury (a well known outdoors writer, host of his weekly radio show – Sundays noon 102.1 FM, and Cass City area resident) for a paddling trip down the beautiful Cass River. This 4 separate day trip paddle will begin in Cass City and travel the entire length of the Cass River, through the Shiawassee Wildlife Refuge and ending on the Saginaw River at Wickes Park in Saginaw.
